Put only the information needed for public creator discovery into an AI prompt. Broad interests and an offer preference are usually enough. Private messages, payment details, identity documents, and another person's unpublished information are not needed for that task.

Privacy settings can affect how a service handles data, but they do not make unnecessary disclosure useful.

Separate four different questions

When reviewing an AI tool, ask:

Scroll across the table on smaller screens.

QuestionWhy it matters
Is the prompt stored in account history? You may want to review or delete it later
Can it be used for model improvement? This is different from whether it is stored
Is it sent to another provider for processing?A website may use an external model
Is it included in analytics or shared links?Other data flows can exist separately

An answer to one row does not automatically answer the others. “Not used for training” should not be rewritten as “never stored anywhere.”

Use current settings documentation

OpenAI's Data controls in ChatGPT explains that turning off model improvement does not itself delete saved chats. It also distinguishes temporary chats, history, and other controls. Available settings depend on the account and workspace.

Check the actual settings for the service you use. This guide does not apply ChatGPT controls to every other AI product or promise that a deleted browser tab deletes a server-side record.

What OnlyDetect's policy says

OnlyDetect's privacy policy states that Google Analytics is configured without raw AI prompts and that session recording excludes AI chat routes. Those are specific analytics boundaries.

They are not a claim that an AI request requires no processing or storage. The implementation reviewed for this guide sends requests for model interpretation and stores encrypted message records. Encryption is a protection, not a statement that records do not exist.

This is a policy and code review, not an independent security audit.

Rewrite a prompt to remove unnecessary detail

Instead of pasting a private conversation and asking the AI to identify the person behind it, describe the public discovery task:

Find adult creators whose public biographies discuss travel photography. Use established public links and leave unavailable details unknown.

You can also replace your exact personal spending history with a simple budget preference. The model does not need a bank statement to understand “recorded subscription price under $15.”

Review before sharing a result

A shared chat can expose the request as well as the answer. Check for private notes and remove information that was not necessary for the public task.

OnlyDetect's methodology excludes private messages and subscriber-only content from its collection scope. Keep your own research inside that public-information boundary, and consult the service's current privacy controls before submitting anything sensitive.
