Keep creator research within the public identity and links the creator has chosen to share. You can verify a published handle, read a public biography, and compare a current offer without tracing a legal name, home address, relatives, or private accounts.

The purpose is to check a public destination and decide whether its stated offer fits your interests.

Define the question before searching

Useful questions are limited:

  • Does this established public channel link to the profile?
  • Does the current description mention the project I am interested in?
  • What does the offer say is included?
  • Which important details remain unknown?

Questions about a creator's private workplace, family, or precise whereabouts do not help establish the scope of a subscription.

OnlyDetect's methodology excludes hidden location data, private messages, feeds, and paid media. Its directory is not a tool for identifying private individuals.

Keep evidence proportionate

A public website linking to a handle can answer a public-link question. You do not need to combine it with a personal address or a relative's social profile to make that connection stronger.

Similarly, a self-published location can provide broad context, but it is not a live location. Do not infer where someone currently is from a familiar background or an old post.

For ordinary verification, use the official-link checklist.

Treat unsolicited “proof” cautiously

A person claiming to have a creator's private records is not a reliable verification service. Do not send that person account credentials, payment information, or authentication codes.

The FTC's phishing advice recommends checking through an independently established route. That approach is sufficient for a public professional link; acquiring private information is unnecessary.

A tool that offers to identify someone from a face or connect a private email address to an account creates a different privacy problem. Leave that path out of your search.

Use unknown as a valid result

Sometimes a creator does not publish a location, an agency relationship, or a preferred language. Missing disclosure should remain missing disclosure.

You can decide not to subscribe when an important expectation is unclear. You do not need to solve the uncertainty by investigating the person's private life.

If OnlyDetect displays an inaccurate or inappropriate personal detail, use Report with the affected listing and the relevant public context. Do not repeat private material in a public review to demonstrate the error.

A successful lookup ends with an appropriate public connection and a clear understanding of the offer. It does not require a complete dossier on the person behind the profile.
