OnlyFans' terms describe Wallet Credits as prepaid funds for later fan payments. Before a purchase, compare the available balance with the full purchase amount. The terms state that purchases cannot be split: if a purchase exceeds the remaining wallet balance, the card is charged the full amount for that purchase.
The same terms describe unused wallet credits as non-refundable. Read the current provisions before adding funds rather than assuming the wallet works like an ordinary refundable cash balance.
Work through the balance rule
The OnlyFans Terms of Service, inspected September 30, 2026, provide the rule. These examples are fictional:
Scroll across the table on smaller screens.
| Remaining credits | Purchase amount | What the documented rule means |
|---|---|---|
| $5 | $12 | Do not expect $5 from credits and $7 from the card; the full purchase exceeds the balance |
| $20 | $12 | The balance is sufficient for that amount; check the actual transaction |
| Unknown | $12 | Check the balance before assuming how payment will be handled |
The first example is the important distinction. A partial balance should not be treated as a reduction in the card amount when the purchase exceeds it.
Use the actual final purchase amount rather than a directory's observed base price.
Separate loading money from using it
Adding credits and purchasing access are different events. A successful top-up does not by itself establish that a subscription or item was purchased. A remaining balance also does not establish what a future purchase will cost.
Keep separate records for money loaded, credits used, and the current balance. If the amount shown is unclear, seek official support before repeating the top-up.
For unclear transaction outcomes, use the failed-payment checklist.
Read the limits without adding assumptions
The terms say wallet credits are subject to the maximum amount indicated and do not accrue interest. This article does not provide a universal current top-up limit, because the relevant displayed limit must be checked.
Nor does it establish that credits are transferable between users, function as a native gift subscription, or make an account anonymous. Third-party products marketed as gift cards may be different payment products entirely.
Do not buy such a product on the assumption that its label proves official platform support.
Do not use a balance as your only spending control
A wallet balance is not necessarily the most you could pay, given the documented full-card-charge rule for an insufficient balance. Decide what you intend to spend independently of the balance.
Use the monthly spending template to record actual outflows without counting the same prepaid funds twice.
Check before adding more
Read the current balance, the intended purchase, and the platform's current terms. Keep unused-credit refund questions separate from disputes about a particular purchase; the refund guide points to the relevant official documents.
This guide explains the documented mechanism. It does not test a live wallet transaction or recommend a particular payment amount.
